FAQ

What is Pinstack?

A minimalist RSS/Atom reader with a clean, Pinboard-inspired UI. It fetches feeds you add, caches them, and shows them per user.

How do I sign in?

Use Google Sign-In.

Can anyone join?

Pinstack is currently invite-only. Signing in with a Google account that isn't on the list yet places you on the waitlist — you'll be let in once approved, nothing more to do. Read why Pinstack exists while you wait.

Does Pinstack do bookmarks?

Yes — alongside feeds, Pinstack keeps a private bookmarks library: import a Pinboard or browser export, browse by tag, search full text, read saved pages in the focus reader, and save new links from a paste box, a bookmarklet, or a one-tap iOS Shortcut. See the guide.

What Google data does Pinstack use?

Only your email, display name, and Google account ID, used to sign you in and scope your feeds to your account. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I add feeds?

Paste a valid RSS/Atom URL into “Add feed” and submit. Items appear in the list once fetched. Each feed is tied to your account.

Why can’t I add a feed?

Feeds require you to be signed in. Ensure the URL is reachable over HTTPS and returns valid RSS/Atom.

How often are feeds refreshed?

Roughly every 10 minutes, plus on demand when you add a feed. ETag/Last-Modified headers are honored.

How do I remove a feed?

Use the “Current feeds” list to remove; associated items are deleted for your account.

Where is my data stored?

On the server, scoped to your account. Sessions are cookie-based. Google Sign-In provides your email and name; see the Privacy Policy for what is stored and how.
